Knightingles Healthcare supports adults in their own homes across Biggleswade and the wider Central Bedfordshire area.
Our visits are arranged around the person rather than a fixed pattern, covering help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry and shopping, and support to get out to appointments or simply out of the house.
We work with people living with dementia, where familiar carers and a predictable routine do more good than anything else we could offer. We support adults with a learning disability or autism, building support around communication, predictability and independence rather than around tasks. We work with people living with mental health needs, paying attention to early signs that things are changing. We also support adults living with a physical disability, where equipment and layout usually decide how much of a day someone can direct themselves, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we announce ourselves, how we communicate and how we work around a home.
