About Us
We are Renaissance Personnel, working from Kentish Town and providing care to people in their own homes across Camden and the surrounding boroughs.
Home care is what we do, and we have deliberately kept our focus there rather than spreading into everything. It means our carers become genuinely practised at the work, and it means we can be straightforward with people about when a different kind of provision would suit them better.
Everything begins with a visit. We talk with the person, and with family if that is what they want, about what has become difficult and what would actually help. Some people need a short call each morning to get the day started safely. Others need several visits covering personal care, medication, meals and the practical running of a household. We agree the plan together and revise it when things change rather than leaving it to drift.
The parts of home care that decide whether it works are mostly unspectacular. Turning up on time. Staying for the agreed period. Sending a face the person recognises. Noticing that somebody has eaten less this week. We build our rounds so those things are realistic rather than promised and missed.
