About Us
We are Right at Home Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern, and we provide care and support to people in their own homes across this part of Buckinghamshire. We work in longer visits rather than brief calls, because good care at home needs enough time in it to do the job properly and still sit down for a conversation. Much of what we do is practical help for older people: getting up and dressed, bathing, medication, cooking a proper meal, the shopping and the laundry, and getting out to appointments or into town. Just as much of it is company, which is not a soft extra. Loneliness does real harm, and a care worker who knows the family photographs, walks the dog and remembers what happened last week is doing something genuinely valuable. We also support people living with dementia, where continuity is everything, so we work hard to keep the same familiar care workers visiting the same households and keep families informed rather than waiting to be asked. We support people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how each person prefers to be helped, and some younger adults.
