About Greatful Care

Greatful Care provides support to people in their own homes across Bristol. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia or a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We start by asking how the household already runs, then build the support to fit it. Someone who has got up at half past six every morning for decades does not want to be told the round arrives at nine, so we work the rota around people wherever we possibly can. Visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals and drinks, help with the house and the shopping, and support to get out to appointments or into the city. Some arrangements are brief and daily, others longer and more detailed, and plenty change over the months as needs do. Bristol has many communities in it, and care only works when it fits the home it enters. Language, food, faith and who a family is comfortable letting through the door all matter, and we would rather be asked than guess. Continuity is the part we protect hardest. A familiar carer notices a change early enough for it to count. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
