About Anchor Community Support
We are a home care agency in Bristol, supporting people of all ages in their own homes. The people we work with have very different needs, and our starting point is always the same: a proper conversation about what someone wants their day to look like and what stands in the way of it. We support older people, including those living with dementia, where keeping the same carers and the same routines going does more good than anything else we can offer. We work with adults with a learning disability and with autistic adults, supporting independence in whatever form that takes for the person rather than in a form we have decided on in advance. We support people living with mental health needs, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, adjusting how we communicate and how we work so that support is genuinely usable. We also support people recovering from problems with alcohol or drugs, and we try to do that without judgement and without assuming how the road ahead will go. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so plainly and let you test us with hard questions about training, supervision and what happens when something goes wrong. If you are looking for support at home in Bristol, please get in touch and we will give you a straight answer about whether we can help.
