About Ribble Homecare

We are Ribble Homecare, and we support adults in their own homes in Blackburn and the surrounding area. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support, arranged to fit the person's routine rather than our convenience. Most of our work is with older people who want to carry on living at home and need a hand with the everyday business of getting through the day: washing and dressing, medication taken on time, a proper meal cooked, the shopping fetched, the laundry done, and getting out to appointments or into town with some company on the way. We support people living with dementia, and here we put real weight on continuity, because a familiar voice at the door achieves more than any amount of technique, so we keep the same care workers with the same households as far as the rota allows. We also support younger adults who want help to run their own household and who want that help to reduce as their confidence grows. Everything starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home, and the plan is written with the person and reviewed honestly. If a visit is going to be late we ring and say so.
