About Falcon-Care

We are a home care agency in Blackburn, visiting people in their own homes across Blackburn with Darwen. We take on a wider range of need than many agencies. Most of our work is with older adults, a good number living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a learning disability, autistic people, people with a physical disability, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. We take on work involving eating disorders, and work involving alcohol or drugs, both of which are frequently declined elsewhere. A list that long is only worth printing if the staffing behind it is real, so we match workers to people rather than filling gaps on a rota. Supporting a younger adult with an eating disorder needs a different temperament from doing a double handed transfer with a woman of ninety, and in both cases it needs to be the same face arriving each time. Across all of it the practical work is the same. Washing and dressing, medicines, meals, shopping, housework, appointments, getting out of the house, and someone keeping a quiet eye on how a person is doing.
