About Prime Way Care

Prime Way Care Birmingham provides support in people's own homes across the city. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment, younger adults, people with eating disorders and people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. That is a wide range, and we do not pretend one approach covers all of it. What stays constant is how we start: a proper conversation with the person, and with whoever they want involved, about what would genuinely help. We would rather spend real time on that than arrive with a plan already written. For older people and people living with dementia, much of our work is practical and daily, and the thing that matters most is consistency. Familiar workers, familiar times, and enough handover between them that nobody has to keep explaining themselves. For younger adults the emphasis is usually different, built around work, study and independence rather than around a rota. Where we support people with mental health needs, eating disorders or the effects of alcohol or drug misuse, we work closely with the clinical teams involved and are clear about what is ours to do and what is not. We keep the teams around each person small, because care at home falls apart when the face at the door keeps changing.
