About Us
We are Diversity Health and Social Care, based in Dagenham, and we provide support in people's own homes across the area. The people we work with are a deliberately wide group. Older people, many living with dementia. Adults with learning disabilities and autistic people. Adults living with mental ill health. People with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Younger adults. People living with an eating disorder, and people dealing with problems with alcohol or drugs.
Working across that range means no standard package would do, so we do not offer one. Support begins with a conversation about how life actually is, what has become difficult, what somebody wants to keep doing for themselves, and what would genuinely make a difference. The plan comes from that and gets revised as circumstances move.
In a good deal of our work the most valuable thing we provide is steadiness. Turning up when we said we would. Noticing when something has shifted. Not treating a difficult week as a crisis, and not judging. For people in recovery, and for people living with an eating disorder or with mental ill health, that reliability often counts for more than any particular task.
Support may cover personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping, paperwork and getting out into the community.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk through what support might look like.
