About Us

Springcare works in Barking and across Barking and Dagenham, providing care and support in people's own homes. We visit older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.

We spend a lot of attention on how information moves between us, because that is where home care usually comes apart. If a carer arrives without knowing that somebody has just come home from hospital, or had a bad night, or that a relative has changed the medication arrangement, then the visit is worse than useless. So we keep our records current, we keep teams small enough that people actually talk to one another, and we make sure the household knows who to ring and gets an answer.

The work covers personal care, medication, meals, mobility, laundry, shopping, appointments and proper company, and for some of the people we support it looks quite different again, with somebody alongside them at college, at a group or on the bus.

For people living with dementia we hold to familiar carers at familiar times and follow the routines already in the household rather than replacing them.
