About Amani Care
Amani Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Barking and the surrounding area. We work with older people and with younger adults, and our experience covers dementia, physical disabilities, and sight and hearing loss. We visit first and talk before we propose anything. What we want to understand is how the household actually runs, who is already helping, what the person manages perfectly well on their own and where help would make a real difference. Only then do we agree a plan, and it belongs to the person to alter when they want to. Support might be a short morning call to help with washing, dressing and medication, visits through the day for meals, company and housework, or a hand to get to appointments and out of the house. Where somebody has a physical disability we pay attention to the mechanics of the place, because whether a frame is within reach or help arrives at the right moment decides far more than any care plan wording. Families tend to judge us on reliability, and that is fair. Coming when we said, staying the full visit, sending carers the person already knows, and ringing before anybody has to ring us. We keep rounds tight and local so those are realistic. Our carers are checked and trained before they visit anyone, and we are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
