About Short Term Breaks

Pershore Short Term Breaks is a residential home in Pershore, Worcestershire, and short breaks are what we do. We support adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and people living with sight or hearing loss, and our purpose is to offer stays that work both for the person and for the family or carer who supports them the rest of the time. Getting a short break right is a particular skill. Somebody arriving for a few days has to settle quickly in a place that is not their own, which is why we plan every stay properly in advance. We find out how the person communicates, what their routine at home looks like, what they like to eat, what helps them sleep, what upsets them and what settles them again, and we write it down before they arrive rather than working it out afterwards. Where somebody comes to us regularly, this becomes a familiar place with familiar faces, which is exactly what makes a break restful rather than unsettling. While people are here they choose how their days are spent, and we help them get out to whatever they enjoy locally. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families and professionals are welcome to visit before booking a stay.
