About Us

Casa Mia Care Home is a residential care home in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. We support older people and younger adults, including residents living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also work with people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, and we offer respite stays. Supporting a group of people this varied works because we plan with each one individually and because nobody here is judged for how they arrived. Somebody rebuilding after a hard period needs something quite different from an older resident who can no longer manage alone, and both should be able to live here on their own terms. The basics apply to everyone. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how much company they want. Privacy and dignity are not negotiable. Personal care is given quietly and at the person's pace. Rooms are furnished with people's own belongings. Where someone has mental health needs, we agree in advance what a difficult period looks like for them and what they want us to do. Where somebody is working on their relationship with alcohol or drugs, we support the plan they have chosen rather than lecture them about it. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding overall. We were pleased, and we treat it as a standard to keep meeting rather than a badge to display. Please come and visit us in Kidderminster.
