About Us
Golden Horizon Care Home is a residential care home in Bewdley, Worcestershire, providing care for older people, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people with loss of sight or hearing.
We run the home at the pace of the people in it. Breakfast happens when somebody wakes rather than when a trolley comes round, and the day takes the shape a person wants. The care covers help with washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, support with mobility, and somebody always around when a person needs them.
For those living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the faces familiar, and we arrange the house so that it is easy to understand and to move about in. For people with loss of sight or hearing we adapt how we communicate, how rooms are lit and how we approach and announce ourselves.
Families are welcome whenever they wish to come.
Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
