About Parkdale Care Home
Parkdale Care Home is a residential care home in Wolverhampton, and we support older people and younger adults who need help with the everyday business of living. Some of the people who move in need only a steadying hand with washing, dressing and medication. Others need a good deal more. Either way, the aim is the same: to take the worry out of daily life so that the rest of it can carry on. We spend time getting to know someone before they arrive, talking to them and to the people who know them best, so that we understand what a good day looks like for them. That might mean a late breakfast, a particular chair by the window, help staying in touch with an old friend, or keeping up a hobby that has always mattered. We write that into the way we work rather than treating it as an extra. Because we support younger adults as well as older residents, we try not to run the home as though everyone wants the same things. Meals, activity and company are offered rather than imposed, and people are free to please themselves. We also provide respite care for planned short stays, whether a family carer needs a break, someone is recovering after a spell in hospital, or a household wants to try residential living before committing to it. Wolverhampton is our community and we welcome visitors at reasonable hours. If you would like to see the home for yourself, please contact us and we will arrange a visit.
