About Us
Merseyview Residential Home is in New Brighton on the Wirral, caring for older people.
We do one thing and we try to do it properly. Residential care for older people who can no longer manage at home, in a house where the day belongs to the people living in it. Nobody is woken to suit a rota. Meals are unhurried and worth turning up for. Help with washing and dressing is given in a way that protects a person's dignity, which in practice means asking before acting, explaining what we are doing, and leaving people to do for themselves whatever they still can.
Being by the water helps. A short outing, fresh air, a change of view, all of these matter a good deal more than they are usually given credit for, particularly to people whose world has narrowed since they stopped living independently.
Respite stays are available as well as permanent places.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit before deciding anything.
