About Us
Cotswolds Rise Residential Care Home is in Swindon, and we provide residential care for older people, for younger adults who need a supportive home, and for people with physical disabilities or living with sight or hearing loss. Respite stays are available as well, for planned breaks and for the times when cover is needed quickly.
We try to run a household rather than an institution, and that shows in ordinary things. Residents choose when to get up, where to sit, whether they want company or quiet, and what they would like to eat. We help with personal care, dressing, medication and mobility, and we do it without fuss, leaving as much privacy and as much choice with the person as we can.
Dementia care is a significant part of our work. We keep the layout and the daily rhythm predictable, give people time rather than hurrying them, and take trouble to learn about earlier life, because that is what makes sense of a mood or a repeated question. For residents living with sight or hearing loss, unhurried communication and a well arranged environment make the real difference, and for those with physical disabilities the focus is on equipment that fits and transfers done safely and with dignity.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to visit on a normal day, meet the people who live and work here, and take your time deciding.
