About Us

We at White Lodge Residential Home are proud to offer warm, personalised residential care for older people in the coastal village of East Preston, West Sussex. Our home provides a welcoming alternative to clinical environments, where every resident is supported to live well, feel valued, and remain part of a close community.

Nestled within the peaceful surroundings of East Preston, our home benefits from the gentle pace of village life on the South East coast. The area is known for its leafy streets, friendly atmosphere, and proximity to the seafront, offering residents and visiting families a calming setting in which to spend meaningful time together. Our location within the BN postcode area makes us easily reachable for relatives travelling from across West Sussex and the wider South East.

Our focus is on residential care for older people, which means we look after individuals who may no longer feel comfortable living independently but who do not require nursing intervention. In practice, this involves attentive day to day support with everything from personal care and medication to meals, mobility, and companionship. We take the time to understand each person's history, preferences, and routines, so that the care we provide feels familiar and dignified rather than institutional. Families can take comfort in knowing that their loved one is supported by a team who genuinely care about wellbeing, social connection, and quality of life.

We believe that a good home is one where residents continue to enjoy the small pleasures that matter most, whether that is a favourite meal, a quiet afternoon with a book, conversation with friends, or simply the reassurance of knowing help is always close at hand. Our environment is designed to feel domestic and homely, encouraging residents to settle in comfortably and families to visit freely.

White Lodge Residential Home has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission across all five inspection domains, namely Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led, following its most recent inspection. This consistent rating reflects the standard of care delivered throughout the home and offers families an independent, trusted measure of the support their loved one can expect to receive. A Good rating across every category demonstrates a balanced and reliable approach to all aspects of residential life, from safety and leadership to the warmth shown by our team.

Choosing a care home is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we understand the emotions involved. If you are exploring options for a parent, relative, or friend, we warmly invite you to learn more about White Lodge Residential Home and discover whether our community could be the right next chapter for someone you love.
