About Us

People in Action at Old Hinckley Road is a residential care setting in Nuneaton supporting a broad mix of people. We care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we also support adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, including younger adults.

That range works because our approach does not change from one person to another. We take time to learn how somebody communicates, what a good day looks like for them and what tends to make a difficult one, and then we build their support around that rather than fitting everybody into the same routine. Where a person can take on more for themselves, we make room for it rather than stepping in out of habit.

Life here runs around the people who live in the house rather than around a timetable. Respite stays are available too, for people who need support for a short period and for family carers who need a break.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The measure we trust more is whether people here look at ease and whether relatives feel welcome to drop in and ask anything.
