About Us
We are Beechcroft House, a residential care home in Stafford caring for older people, including many living with dementia and people with a physical disability.
What we provide is residential care rather than nursing care, and we are straightforward with families about the difference so that nobody moves in somewhere unable to meet their needs. Within it, we help with washing, dressing and getting about safely, support people with medication, provide proper meals and make sure nobody is left alone all day unless that is what they prefer.
The home is run around the people living in it. Nobody is woken to suit a rota, mealtimes bend around the person, and how somebody spends the day is their own business. Some like the lounge and the conversation that fills it, others would rather keep to their own room.
Dementia care here rests on knowing the individual. We learn about the work somebody did, the family they raised and the routines that steady them, and we use that rather than correcting anybody about the present.
We keep families in the picture, ring early when concerned, and welcome visitors whenever they want to come.
Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Please get in touch to look round.
