About Us
We are a residential care home near Walsall in Staffordshire, and we think of the house as the home of the people who live here rather than a place they have moved into. Rooms are theirs to arrange, days are theirs to shape, and we fit around that.
Most of the people we support are older, though not all, and we welcome younger adults whose needs are better met in a smaller setting than a large one. We provide residential care for people who need help with personal care, mobility and the ordinary business of getting comfortably through a day. We also support people living with dementia, and we have learned that what helps most is calm, familiarity and staff who know a person well enough to notice when something is not right before it becomes a difficulty.
We support people living with mental health needs and people with a physical disability, and we try to keep the focus on what someone can still do rather than on what has become harder. Respite stays are available too, which can give a family carer a genuine break or give someone the chance to try the home before making a longer decision.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are pleased with it, and we take the view that keeping it means listening properly when residents and relatives tell us something could be done better.
You are welcome to visit, have a look round and stay for a cup of tea. Seeing a place for yourself tells you far more than anything written down.
