About Us
Wall Hill Care Home is a residential care home in Leek, Staffordshire. We care for older people, including people living with dementia or with mental ill health and people with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays.
We want to be open about our regulatory position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are not going to talk around that. We have accepted the findings, we are working through an improvement plan, and we have made changes to training, supervision and the way we check our own practice. Anyone considering the home should ask us about it directly.
The daily work continues. People here keep their own routines, choose how they spend the day and what they eat, and are helped with washing, dressing, medication and mobility in the way that suits them. For residents living with dementia, our team relies on knowing the person, keeping the surroundings calm and giving time rather than instructions.
Families are welcome, and we keep in touch with them honestly, including when the news is not what anybody hoped for.
If you are looking at residential care in or around Leek, please come and visit, ask the difficult questions and judge us on what you find.
