About Us
Essington Manor Care Home is a care home at Essington in Staffordshire. We provide residential care for older people and younger adults, and we support people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and people managing a mental health condition. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.
Supporting that range of people under one roof works only if nobody is treated as a category. So we sit down with each person, work out what their week should actually contain, and arrange staffing around that rather than the reverse.
Residents decide how their own day runs. When to get up, where to spend it, how much company they want and whether to join whatever is going on. Rooms belong to the people in them, and visitors come without appointment.
Where sight or hearing has failed, we say who has come into the room and describe what is happening.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
Please come and visit if you are considering care locally, and talk to the people living here as well as to us.
