About Us
Bracken House is a residential care home in Burntwood, Staffordshire. We look after older people who need support with everyday living, and we also support younger adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss.
The mix of people we support is wide, and it means we plan around the individual rather than the category. What does somebody need, what can they still do perfectly well for themselves, and what do they want their day to look like. For residents living with dementia, familiar surroundings, unhurried staff and a predictable day do more good than anything else we could offer.
Residents bring their own belongings, keep their own routines, choose how they spend their time and see visitors when they like. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would sooner say so ourselves than leave you to find it elsewhere. We know which areas were identified, we have an improvement plan in place and we are working through it with our staff team. Ask us about it directly and we will give you a straight answer.
The only real way to judge a home is to walk through it. Please come at a time that suits you and talk to residents and their families.
