About Manna House
Manna House is a residential care home in Bootle supporting older people and younger adults with a wide range of needs. We care for people living with dementia or with mental ill health, people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite stays. Because the people who live here are so different from one another, we do not run the house to a single pattern. Support is worked out individually and the week belongs to the person, whether that means a job or a course, regular time with family, a favourite trip out, or a settled routine that nobody disturbs. Our team learns how each person communicates and what matters to them. Not everybody uses speech, so we pay attention to expression, gesture and behaviour, and we are willing to be corrected when we have misread something. Where somebody is distressed, we look for the cause. People choose their own food, keep their own space and are supported to do as much for themselves as they want to. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to look round or discuss a placement, please get in touch.
