About The Haven
The Haven is a residential care home in Rowley Regis, supporting adults who need help with everyday living in a house that feels like a home rather than a unit. The people who live here are a varied group. Some are older adults who need help with personal care, mobility and medication. Some have a learning disability or are autistic. Others are living with a physical disability, and we support younger adults as well as older people. What holds it together is treating everybody as an individual with their own history, preferences and opinions. We begin with the person. We find out how they communicate, what they want help with, what they would rather do for themselves and what matters enough to be worth protecting. Support plans are agreed with them, and with families or advocates where that is wanted, and we revisit them as circumstances change. Where somebody wants to build skills or confidence, our role is to be alongside them rather than in front of them. We also offer respite stays, giving family carers a planned break while their relative stays somewhere welcoming and well staffed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, which reflects the steady work the team puts in here. If you would like to see The Haven, please get in touch and arrange a visit. Come and look round, meet the staff and ask us whatever you want to know.
