About The Lodge

The Lodge in Ilford is a residential care home supporting adults living with mental health conditions and people with a physical disability. What we offer first is stability. Most of the people who come to live here have had a long period in which very little has been settled, and a predictable place with familiar staff does more good in the early months than anything else. Everybody has their own room and their own routine, and there is somebody available at any hour. Our staff help with the practical side of life, with prompting and support around medication, and with getting through a day when that has become difficult. Where somebody has a physical disability, we make sure that the practical details are right, including equipment, consistent handling and attention to comfort, because those details shape the whole day. We work closely with the professionals involved so that the approach stays consistent. Much of what we do is deliberately ordinary. Cooking, looking after your own space, managing money, keeping appointments and getting out locally are things we do alongside people rather than for them. Respite stays can be arranged where appropriate. If you are looking for a placement, please contact us and come and see us.
