About Faricare

Faricare is a residential care home in Ilford for adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people living with mental health conditions. Most of the people we support are younger adults, and we also offer respite stays. We run the house as a home rather than a unit. People have their own room and their own routine, they are involved in the shopping and the meals, and they are supported to get out locally, to use shops and facilities, to see family and friends and to do the things they enjoy. Where somebody wants to take on more for themselves, our job is to help them get there. Support has to fit the individual. Some people need a calm, predictable house and plenty of warning before anything changes. Others want activity and encouragement. We learn which, record it clearly and expect the whole team to work the same way. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly. We have worked through what the inspection identified, particularly how we plan and record care and how consistently our staff are supported to work, and we are happy to talk the detail through with anyone considering a placement. If you are looking for a place or respite in Redbridge, please contact us and come and see the house.
