About Us

Gosford Lodge is a residential care home in Kidlington supporting adults, including younger adults and adults with learning disabilities and autism. We also offer planned respite stays.

The people who live here are adults with their own lives to lead, and our job is to make those lives possible rather than to run them. Everybody has their own room, their own routine and a proper say in how the house works. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals, money and the ordinary business of a household, and we stand back wherever somebody can manage alone.

The detail is where the real work lies. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable, how much notice they need before something changes, and which parts of the day they would rather handle themselves are all things we learn from the person. When change is unavoidable, we prepare for it properly instead of announcing it on the morning.

Life here is meant to reach beyond the front door as well. We support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the groups, activities, work or education that matter to them, because being part of the area you live in is not an optional extra.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit, and spend time with the people who already live here.
