About Us
Here at The Homestead in Carterton, Oxfordshire, we provide a genuine home for the people who come to live with us. We offer residential and dementia care for older people, as well as support for younger adults and shorter respite stays for those who need a break or a little extra help at a particular point in life.
We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. From the moment someone walks through our door, we want them to feel that this is somewhere they belong, not simply somewhere they are being looked after. Our team takes the time to get to know each resident as an individual, understanding what matters to them, what their routines look like and how they like to spend their days.
For those living with dementia, we recognise how important it is to feel safe, recognised and understood. We work hard to create an environment where people can move through their days with as much familiarity and comfort as possible, and where families feel confident their loved one is genuinely known by the people caring for them.
Respite care is something we approach with just as much thought. Whether someone is joining us for a short stay to recover or to give a family carer some time to rest, we aim to make that experience feel settled and supported from the outset.
We are proud that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the commitment of everyone here to maintaining a standard of care that we feel genuinely stands up to scrutiny.
If you would like to find out more or come and see us for yourself, we would be very happy to welcome you.
