About Us

We are a residential care home in Oldham, providing a home for older people who need support with everyday life. That includes people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also take respite bookings for shorter stays.

Moving into a care home is a considerable change and we do not treat it lightly. The first weeks matter, so we spend them learning how somebody has always done things. When they like to wake and go to bed, what they eat and what they will not touch, whether they want company or their own space, what they did for work or for pleasure. Care that ignores all that may be perfectly safe, but it will not feel like living anywhere.

Sensory loss changes what good care looks like in very practical ways. How you approach a person, how you announce yourself rather than appearing at a shoulder, how a room is arranged, how much time you leave for a reply. Small adjustments, but they decide whether somebody feels part of what is going on around them.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome and we would much rather you came and formed your own view of the place. Please contact us and we will arrange a visit at a time that suits your family.
