About Us
The Old Orchard is a residential care home in Nottingham caring for older people and younger adults, including adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss.
Running a home with that range of needs works only if everybody is treated as an individual, which is where we start. Each person's support is planned with them and, where they want it, with their family, and it covers the practical help with washing, dressing, moving safely, medication and meals as well as the things that make a day worth having.
Our staff are trained for the needs they support and, just as important, they stay long enough to know people properly. Knowing somebody is what allows you to notice they are in pain when they cannot tell you, or low rather than simply tired.
The home is somewhere people live. Rooms are personalised, meals are cooked here, visitors are welcome and there is company for those who want it and quiet for those who do not.
Respite and short stays can be arranged.
