About Rivendell View
Rivendell View is a residential care home in Nottingham. We support older people and younger adults, residents living with dementia, and residents whose mental health needs mean that stability and patience matter more than anything else we can offer. Our method is not complicated. We take time to understand how a person has been living, what they want to go on doing for themselves, where support would genuinely help and where it would be unwelcome, and we record that clearly so every shift works to the same understanding. Nobody should have to renegotiate their own morning with whoever is on duty. For residents living with dementia we keep routines and faces steady, arrange surroundings that are easy to make sense of, and look for the reason behind distress rather than simply trying to settle it. Where mental health is the main need we work without drama, alongside the community teams involved, and we judge a week by how the resident found it rather than by how neatly it can be written up. Beyond that, most of what people ask for is modest: food worth eating, a way of getting outside, somewhere quiet when the lounge is too busy, and visitors welcomed at the hour that suits them. The Care Quality Commission rated us good overall at our last inspection. Come and see the place. Ask residents and families what they think, not just us.
