About Rivendell View

Rivendell View is a residential care home in Nottingham. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people managing a mental health condition and people living with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. We try to make this feel like a home rather than a place people have been sent to. Residents make the ordinary decisions, when they get up, what they eat, whether they want company or peace, who visits and how the day goes, and our staff work around those decisions rather than around a schedule. For residents living with dementia we keep routines familiar and unhurried and give people the time they need, and we ask families to tell us about the person so that reassurance rests on something real. Where somebody is managing a mental health condition, we plan with them in advance, agreeing what helps on a harder day and who they would want involved. For people with a sensory impairment, we make sure everybody working here knows how that person prefers to be approached. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we treat it as a standard to keep rather than a matter settled. You would be very welcome to come and see the home on an ordinary day.
