About Fairway View

We are a residential care home in Nottingham caring for older people, including many who are living with dementia. Our most recent CQC overall rating is outstanding, which we are proud of, though the thing we would rather be judged on is whether the people who live here are actually happy. We run the home around the people in it. There is no queue for breakfast and no set time to get up. If someone has been an early riser all their life, that does not need to change because they have moved in. If someone would rather spend the morning in the garden than in the lounge, that is their day to spend. Dementia care is a large part of what we do, and we approach it patiently. We learn people's histories, the work they did, the music they grew up with and the routines that steady them. We do not argue with someone about what year it is. We meet people where they are and we find something to enjoy together there. Families are part of the home rather than visitors to it. Come when you like, stay for a meal, take your relative out for the afternoon. We also offer respite stays for people who live at home and whose carers need a break. You are very welcome to arrange a visit and see the place for yourself.
