About Foxton Court

Foxton Court is a residential care home in Morpeth, Northumberland. We support older people who need help through the day, including many living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. Some of the people living with us are younger adults, and we take respite bookings alongside permanent places. Morpeth is a Northumbrian market town and most of our residents are from here or from the country around it. That matters more than it might sound. Conversations in the lounge are about places and families people have in common, staff are local and tend to stay, and relatives are usually close enough to call in without making a journey of it. The care itself is steady rather than striking. Washing and dressing, medicines, good food, help to move about safely, and support to keep doing the things a person still wants to do. For residents with sight or hearing loss we pay attention to light, noise, signage and the way we approach somebody, because a home that is hard to read is a home that shrinks a person's confidence. For residents with dementia we keep routine and surroundings consistent and we take our cue from the person in front of us. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to visit at any sensible hour, and we are happy for you to turn up without warning.
