About Us

We at St Anne's Community Services The Crescent are proud to offer a warm and welcoming residential care home in the peaceful village of Green Hammerton, North Yorkshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a truly homely setting.

Nestled within the tranquil Yorkshire countryside, our home benefits from the gentle pace and community feel that Green Hammerton is known for. The village setting offers residents a calm, familiar environment where daily life can unfold at a comfortable rhythm, whilst still being well connected to the wider North Yorkshire area for family visits and days out.

Our specialism lies in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, and we understand that person centred care means so much more than simply meeting practical needs. It means truly listening, learning what makes each individual feel safe and understood, and building routines that reflect their preferences, interests and personalities. For families, this means peace of mind knowing that their loved one is being supported by a team who genuinely values their uniqueness and works patiently to help them live a fulfilling life.

Alongside our long term residential support, we also offer respite care, giving family carers the opportunity to take a well earned break in the knowledge that their relative is in caring, capable hands. Whether for a short stay or an extended period, we aim to make every guest feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in an overall rating of Requires Improvement, with Caring and Responsive both rated as Good. We are especially proud of the recognition of the compassion shown by our team and the responsiveness of the support we provide, and we remain fully committed to building on these strengths and addressing the areas identified so that every aspect of life at The Crescent reflects the quality our residents and their families deserve.

If you are exploring care options for a loved one with a learning disability or autism, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We would be delighted to answer your questions, listen to what matters most to your family, and help you decide whether our home might be the right fit. You are welcome to reach out at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
