About Us

Here at Nicholas House, we are proud to be a care home serving the Doncaster community in North Lincolnshire, where we support older adults to live with comfort, dignity and a real sense of belonging.

We offer residential care, dementia care and respite care, meaning we can support people at different stages and in different circumstances. Whether someone is moving in with us permanently or staying for a shorter period to recover or give family members a rest, we do our best to make sure the experience feels personal and unhurried. We take the time to get to know each person properly, understanding their routines, preferences and the things that matter most to them, so that the care we provide actually reflects who they are.

Dementia care is an area we take seriously. We know how much it means to families to find a place where their loved one feels safe and genuinely understood. Our approach is calm and consistent, and we work hard to create an environment where residents feel settled and reassured rather than anxious or confused.

We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which we feel reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every day. We do not take that rating for granted and we are always looking at how we can improve the experience for residents and their families.

Families are an important part of life here at Nicholas House and we always welcome their involvement. We believe care works best when it is a shared effort between our team, the people we support and the people who love them.

If you would like to find out more about whether Nicholas House might be the right fit for you or your family member, we would be very glad to hear from you.
