About Us
Welholme Road is a residential care home in Grimsby. We support older people and also younger adults, and we offer both permanent places and respite stays for people who need care for a limited period. The people who live here have a range of needs. Some need help with personal care, mobility, medication and meals because of age or frailty. Some have physical disabilities and need us to think properly about equipment, positioning and access so that they can do as much for themselves as possible. Others are living with mental ill health, and there our job is to provide a settled, predictable place to live and to work closely with community mental health colleagues so that what happens here fits with the rest of someone's care. We try to keep the house feeling ordinary. Meals are cooked on the premises and people can ask for what they fancy, there is somewhere quiet to sit as well as somewhere sociable, and nobody is required to take part in anything. Visitors are welcome without appointment. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering a move for yourself or for somebody you care about, please arrange to come and see us and ask us anything you want to know.
