About Us
Waltham House is a residential care home in Grimsby. We care for older people and for younger adults with a range of needs, including people living with dementia, people with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and those with sight or hearing loss.
Running a home with that mix of needs works only if you treat everybody as an individual, so that is where we start. Each person's support is planned with them and with their family where they want that, and it covers the practical help with washing, dressing, mobility, medication and meals, as well as the things that make a day worth having.
Our staff are trained for the needs they are supporting and, just as important, they stay long enough to know people properly. Knowing somebody is what lets you notice that they are in pain when they cannot say so, or that they are low rather than simply tired.
The home is somewhere people live. Rooms are personalised, visitors are welcome, and there is company and activity for those who want it and peace for those who do not. Meals are cooked here and people get a choice.
Respite and short stays can be arranged.
