About Cranwell Court
Cranwell Court is a care home in Grimsby offering residential care for older people, including those living with dementia. We also support some younger adults and provide respite stays for people who need a short period of care or whose family carer needs a break. We want this to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere people are placed. Residents keep their own routines, bring their own things, and decide how their day runs. Some are up early and want company and conversation from breakfast. Others prefer their own room, their own television and a quiet afternoon. Neither is a problem and neither needs justifying to us. Dementia support is a significant part of our work in North East Lincolnshire, and what helps most is consistency. Familiar staff, steady routines, patience when words are hard to find, and a willingness to understand what somebody is expressing even when they cannot say it plainly. We involve families closely, because they often hold the history that makes sense of the present. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We take it as confirmation that the everyday things are being done properly, and we keep looking at the detail rather than assuming it will stay that way on its own. If you are considering a care home in Grimsby for someone close to you, you are welcome to visit, meet our residents and staff, and ask us anything you like.
