About Us
Burlington Hall Care Home is in Woburn Sands, providing residential care for older people from across Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages. Many of our residents are living with dementia, and we welcome respite guests.
We try to run at the pace of the people who live here rather than the pace of a rota. Waking naturally, eating when hungry, taking as long as you need to get dressed without someone shifting their weight in the doorway. These sound like small courtesies. In a care home they are the difference between being looked after and being processed.
Dementia care rests on familiarity more than technique. A room that looks like the person's own, staff who do not change every fortnight, a day that runs in a recognisable order, and a team that knows enough of somebody's history to understand what they are really asking about. We lean heavily on families for that knowledge and we are grateful for it.
The village setting is genuinely useful. Gardens to sit in, walks that are not an expedition and a community that comes through the door.
Respite stays give family carers a proper rest and let people try us out without committing.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Visit at lunchtime if you can. It tells you more about a home than any prospectus.
