About Us
Prince Alfred is a residential care home in Liverpool. We support older people, including those living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, and younger adults whose needs are best met in a residential setting. We also take respite stays.
Liverpool is home for most of the people who live here, and we try to keep that connection alive rather than letting the front door become a boundary. Families and friends are welcome, local ties are encouraged, and getting out matters as much as what happens inside.
For people living with dementia, we work with familiarity rather than against it. Consistent faces, steady routines, food and music from the right part of a person's life, and staff who understand that how somebody feels in a moment outlasts whether they remember it. Where somebody has a learning disability or is autistic, the emphasis shifts towards choice, predictability and support to do things for themselves.
Respite stays give a family carer a proper break and give the person staying a change of company and surroundings.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather you saw the home than read about it, so please arrange a visit, speak to residents and relatives and make up your own mind.
