About Us

Alexandra Court Residential Home is in Leeds. We care for older people who need support with daily living, including those living with dementia, those living with mental health conditions and those whose sight or hearing is impaired.

Our care is the practical, daily kind: help to wash and dress, medication given properly, meals cooked here, support to move about safely and staff available through the night. Around that, residents arrange their own time as they wish, and we try not to organise people's lives on their behalf.

For residents living with dementia we keep the rhythm of the day predictable and the staff around them consistent. Where sight or hearing is impaired we keep belongings exactly where they are expected, approach people so as not to startle them and check that we have been understood. For people living with mental health conditions, consistency and staff who stay steady when things are difficult count for a great deal.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Leeds are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange a time.
