About Marsh House
Marsh House is a residential care home in Leyland, Lancashire. We provide a permanent home to older adults and to some younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for people who need care for a short while or whose regular carer needs a break. We help with the things that have become hard: getting washed and dressed, moving about safely, taking medication at the right time, eating well. A number of the people who live here have physical disabilities, and we think carefully about equipment, positioning and access so that somebody can do as much for themselves as possible rather than waiting to be done for. Where someone needs help from two of us, they get it promptly and without fuss. The house itself is not grand and we do not pretend otherwise. What it has is a decent kitchen, comfortable sitting rooms, a garden that gets used, and staff who tend to stay, which means residents are looked after by people who know them. Meals are cooked here and we take requests. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather you formed your own view, though, so please arrange to come and see us, at a mealtime if you can, and talk to whoever is around.
