About Us

Here at Grove House Home for Older People in Chorley, Lancashire, we provide residential care for a range of people with varying needs and backgrounds. Our team supports older adults, people living with dementia, individuals with a learning disability or autism, those with a physical disability, and younger adults who require a caring and structured environment. We also offer respite care for those who need a short term stay.

We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family will ever make, and we do not take that lightly. When someone comes through our doors, whether for a permanent placement or a temporary stay, we want them to feel at ease and genuinely at home. We take time to get to know each person as an individual, understanding their routines, preferences, and what matters most to them day to day.

Our approach to dementia care is something we put a great deal of thought into. We recognise that people living with dementia need consistency, familiar faces, and an environment that feels calm and reassuring rather than confusing or unsettling.

We are transparent about our current CQC rating of requires improvement, and we want people to know that we are actively working through the feedback we have received. Improvement is an ongoing process and we are committed to making meaningful, lasting changes that genuinely benefit the people in our care. We believe honesty matters, and we would rather be straightforward about where we are than pretend everything is perfect.
