About Us
Meadow Lodge Residential Care Home is in Burnley, Lancashire. We are home to older people who need support with daily life, and we welcome people for respite stays, whether to recover after a spell in hospital or to give a family carer a proper break. We are a small home and we run like one. Everybody here is properly known, which means our team notices when somebody eats less than usual, sleeps badly, seems low or becomes unsteady on their feet, and it gets dealt with the same day rather than at a review in a month's time. Residents decide how their own days go. When to get up and go to bed, what to eat, whether to sit with others in the lounge or keep to their own room. Rooms hold people's own furniture and photographs because familiar belongings do more for somebody settling in than anything we could buy for them. Most of the people who live here come from Burnley and round about, so there is plenty of shared ground and plenty to talk about. Family and friends call in freely and we like it that way. We are careful not to take over the things people can still manage themselves. Health needs are managed alongside local GPs and community nurses. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please come and visit us.
