About Us

Meadow Court Residential Home is in Huddersfield, and we provide residential care for older people who need a hand with daily life and the reassurance of having someone about at any hour. We also offer respite stays, which matter a great deal to families who are caring at home and need a genuine break rather than a worried one.

What we aim for is a household rather than an institution. Residents choose how they spend their time, when they get up, where they sit and who they sit with. We help with personal care, dressing, medication and mobility, and we try to do it so unobtrusively that it feels like an ordinary part of the day rather than a procedure. Meals are cooked here and people tell us what they want to eat.

We ought to be open about our current position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have worked through the points raised with the team, and those areas are where our effort is concentrated at present. We are happy to talk through the detail with anyone considering Meadow Court, because we would rather you hear it from us and judge for yourself.

Visitors are welcome, and we prefer people to come on a normal day and see how the place actually runs. Ring us and we will arrange a time that suits you.
