About Willow View

Ours is a residential care home in this part of West Yorkshire supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. It is a house and a household, not a facility, and the people who live here have their own rooms, their own belongings and a real say in how the week is arranged. Support is worked out with each person rather than decided for them. For some that means practical help with washing, dressing, cooking and looking after their own space. For others it is about getting out to work, college or the things they enjoy, managing money, and having somebody steady alongside in situations that might otherwise feel overwhelming. We take a great deal of trouble over how each person communicates and over what in their surroundings helps them feel settled, because getting those right heads off difficulty that is very hard to undo afterwards. Respite stays are available as well, giving families a planned break and letting someone get to know us gradually. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of it, and we are clear that it describes how things were found at one point rather than guaranteeing anything. What keeps standards where they should be is the ordinary work of every day, so we keep asking the people who live here whether they are happy. If you would like to visit, please get in touch.
