About Ashington House
Ashington House is a residential care home in Worcester Park, in the Kingston upon Thames area. We support older people and adults with a learning disability, adults who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite stays. We keep life here domestic. People choose when to get up, what to eat and how to spend the day, and help with washing, dressing, medication and mobility is given in the way each person prefers. Our team is expected to know the people who live here properly, including what they did before they came to us and what still matters to them. Supporting a mixed group works when everybody is treated as an individual. Some residents want quiet and routine, others want to be out and busy, and both are perfectly good ways to live. For people with a sensory impairment we pay attention to the practical details of light, sound and how we approach somebody, because small adjustments make a large difference to confidence. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome here at any reasonable time. If you would like to look round, please get in touch and arrange a visit.
